Marshal McLernon is a communications and brand professional with over 20 years of experience in design, corporate and internal communications, and brand identity). Marshal grew up in Ontario but moved to Vancouver Island mid-2019, making Victoria home along with his wife, their Great Dane and Siamese cat. Marshal has worked for, held Board positions and volunteered with various not-for-profit organizations comprising community journalism and broadcasting, youth leadership, LGBTQ+ support services, and support for those with special needs. Having had a sibling with special health and developmental needs at a time when support services were thin, Marshal highly values the work of agencies such as Thrive supporting youth and adults with special needs, as well as their families. Marshal joined Thrive on a volunteer basis as a branding consultant in October 2020. He joined the Board of Directors in January 2021 and was elected Vice-President of the Board of Directors in October 2021. Marshal has since assumed the President's role on an interim basis.
