Director of Implementation - Foundry
With Thrive since 2024
Kathy joins Foundry after a 35-year career in health care. Kathy's experience over the last 20 years in leading Public Health teams across the region positioned her as a trusted collaborative partner in service to the people of the West Shore, Sooke and Port Renfrew.
Kathy is a Registered Nurse and holds a Master of Arts in Leadership degree from Royal Roads University. As Director of Implementation for Foundry, Kathy will lead the opening of a new Foundry for the West Shore, Sooke and Port Renfrew communities. A Foundry in this region will have meaningful impact for youth and their families and signals a shift in service delivery that recognizes the region's surging population.
Kathy is excited to take on this high impact project, which aligns with her values and passion for engaging partners in collaborative efforts that improve the health of communities. This initiative is a collaboration of service partners, youth and those who care about them. Kathy is deeply committed to engaging youth and ensuring that they are at the centre of decision making.
Our Thrive team acknowledges that our agency stands and works on the unceded Lək̓ʷəŋən territory of the Songhees and Esquimalt Nations. We also acknowledge the five W̱SÁNEĆ communities: W̱JOȽEȽP (Tsartlip), BOḰEĆEN (Pauquachin), SȾÁUTW̱,(Tsawout) W̱SIKEM (Tseycum) and MÁLEXEȽ (Malahat), as well as the Sc'ianew (Beecher Bay), T’Sou-ke, and Pacheedaht Nations and the Spune’laxutth’ (Penelekut) tribe where our work extends. We are committed to acknowledging our relationship with these unceded lands and communities, at staff and Board meetings, and during our hosted events. We encourage the evolving learning and awareness of our staff, Board, and the Thrive community, discovering and striving for meaning and personal connection within each acknowledgement.
