Joe Cardle

Director
With Thrive since 2021

Joe Cardle became part of our Board of Directors in April of 2021.  He is a retired school principal with thirty-four years experience as an educator. Joe’s past community board experiences include the CRD Traffic Safety Commission and National Little League.  His administrative leadership, while at Burnside Elementary Community School, connected him with Burnside Gorge Community Centre and various other agencies forging a collaborative effort to support children and families. As a school administrator, he worked in partnership with private corporations, government and church organizations to assist families in need.  Joe feels most fortunate to have the board trusting in his knowledge, skills and experience related to serving people in our community.

Thrive acknowledges that we live, work and play on the Traditional Territory of the Lək̓ʷəŋən speaking peoples. It recognizes the First Nations governments across this region — Lək̓ʷəŋən (Songhees) and Xwsepsum (Esquimalt) Nations in the core area, the W̱SÁNEĆ Nations {W̱JOȽEȽP (Tsartlip), BOḰEĆEN (Pauquachin), SȾÁUTW̱,(Tsawout) W̱SIKEM (Tseycum)} out on the Saanich Peninsula and Gulf Islands, to the west Sc'ianew (Beecher Bay), T’Sou-ke, and Pacheedaht, and MÁLEXEȽ (Malahat) and Pune’laxutth’ (Penelekut) Nations.
